Just finished downloading this site...after 2 weeks of fruitless searching - finally someone who has all the usefull stuff. I'm just about to start on a PC based Lighting console - look forward to picking your brains and hopefully giving you something el e for your download section - just give me time to read all this stuff (about 2 years should suffice) - keep up the excellent work but please - cut down on the images - I am using a 14Kbs modem - told you I was impressed I don't usually wait that long for anything!

I came across this site while surfing for any info about lights, because I know so very little so far. My first design is for a student studio p oduction that opens at the end of the month. I plan on visiting this site again after my lighting guru, Joe, teaches me more about specific lights. Thanks for the info!

Thanks for a very clear explanation of DMX, but you wrote " Those cables arn't twisted and, worse, they generally have their ground wire connected to both connector bodies." Mic cables are always a twisted pair with a shield, and have not had pin 1 connec ed to the shell for years.
